Raison d’être

Our raison d’être:

To design and operate robust systems and organizations, for trust and peace of mind in the industry, through open access to data.

We detect that our customers do not trust their own supply-chains, and that they are facing unprecedented events (COVID, geopolitical crises), and are uncertain of the growing risks in a world where real-time access to information is essential for decision-making.

Mecachrome’s aim is to be the indispensable player in basic parts and sub-assemblies, using robust industrial systems and a diverse portfolio of activities as the bedrock.

With its Focus Factories and its industrial expertise to the forefront, Mecachrome’s aim is to offer its customers: competitiveness, robustness, transparency and industrial excellence, giving them greater peace of mind and allowing them to start up again with trust.

Word from the CEO

In a world that has been deeply impacted by the digital revolution and the increase in world trade, our customers and partners need transparency, expertise, competitiveness and the ability to respond quickly. This is why Mecachrome, which has become a world leader in precision engineering in the service of its customers, has embarked on its ONE MECACHROME (OM) transformation plan.

The 1st pillar of the transformation plan are the men and women in the group.
The approach is twofold:

  • To offer our co-workers a safe working environment , with no risk of accidents,
  • To give our co-workers a meaning, a reason to get up in the morning, our higher aim: to industrialize trust

The second pillar is financial restructuring. Thanks to 50 million euros in new capital, and a 60 million euro EMP, the group is financially solid in a competitive environment.

The third pillar is aggressive organic growth of €100M in new business between now and 2024, which will guarantee greater resilience for the group thanks to our diversification into premium Automotive and Defense, while maintaining aerostructures and aeroengines.

Innovation, entrepreneurship and digital transformation are the standout features of our 4th pillar, with a desire to evolve our business in sustainable fashion towards the Focus Factories.

The specialized nature of our sites, the 5th pillar, will make Mecachrome flexible and quick to adapt to changes, and will lead to operational excellence and creation of value.

In short, our shareholders want to make MECACHROME a consolidation platform for the aeronautical supply-chain. Mergers and acquisitions are a strategic lever to achieve our ambition, to be a major tier 2 partner, of significant size, serving tier 1s and order placers in aeronautics, premium automotive and defense.
